INTERSECTION / INTERCEPTION

Intersection / Interception is one of two audiovisual pieces created for Sheffield Hallam University and PICCH. The brief was to creatively and critically reinterpret colonial-era archival footage from the Pitt Rivers museum. Intersection/Interception contrasts the beauty of the natural world with modern industrial life. In sound, this is represented with a repetitive beat (made from industrial hits, clocks and electric hums) on the right side of the stereo field, and a guitar track (with a playing style heavily inspired by traditional folk music from around the world) that has been disrupted on the left.
